Another Blonde Joke

Two sisters, a brunette and a blonde, were left the family cattle farm after the passing of their father. The brunette always had concern for her blonde sister as she was very much your typical dumb blonde. Knowing her blonde sister wasn't overly bright, the brunette tried to protect her throughout the years.

Unfortunately things didn't work out on the farm and they were close to bankruptcy. They were down to their last $500. The two of them concluded that the only way they could survive would be if they purchased a bull. The blonde wanted to go over to the stockyards, which was quite far away from their homestead, and negotiate the purchase of the bull. The brunette, sensing disaster, talked her sister out of going and convinced her that she, the brunette, had the savvy and intelligence to secure the purchase of a bull. The blonde suggested they both go. The brunette however, given her logic and clear thinking, countered with the rationale that if they are not successful then they would incur all the costs involved in hooking up the truck and trailer and driving all that way for nothing. The brunette said she would go and then send a telegram for her blonde sister to join her, if and only if, she was successful in purchasing the bull. The other challenge the sisters had was they only had $500 left.

The brunette set forth on the journey and proceeded to the stockyards. After lengthy discussions and biddings the brunette purchased a bull for $499. After paying for the bull she quickly went to the telegraph office and instructed the man at the office to send the following telegram. " I have been able to purchase a bull. Please hook up the trailer to the truck and meet me at the stockyards." The man advised her that it would be 99 cents a word. The brunette objected saying she only had but one dollar. The man said he sympathized with her but it was really her issue not his and he couldn't change the pricing.

The brunette thought for a few minutes and then turned to the man and said, I want you to send this message. "Comfortable" The man was amazed; how would her sister know what she wanted by this one word? The brunette said to him, my sister is a blonde and she reads words very very slowly. She'll know what to do.
